One of my biggest lessons in life has been learning how to love people differently. Not because I love them more or less, but because I have learned the way they truly receive love.
For example, one of my best friends responds really well to a good hug and a heart-to-heart talk, while one of my guy friends totally appreciates when I go out of my way to do him a favor.
Over the years, I’ve especially noticed that the way men give and receive love can be totally foreign to us ladies. Most of the time, simple things like a compliment or remembering that they like a certain food goes a long way. Much more so than a hug or conversation.
In this video I wanted to support you in figuring out how to show the men in your life the love and appreciation that they really crave.
The key ingredient to this mystery? A book written by Gary Chapman called The Five Love Languages. Watch to get the scoop!
I’d also love to hear from you in the comments below. What is your love language? And what have you found the men in your life respond to most?
PS – The quiz that I refer to in the video can be found here.

Great share Nitika – I love that book! I share it with people all the time – it really does help you understand what your loved ones need to feel loved. Like you, my love language is Words of Affirmation (followed closely by Quality Time). I love that you are promoting having the conversation about this with your loved ones…it is so important. Thank you for your work! Be well!

Hi N.
You are so connected, thank u for inspiring people. I love the book and my favorite language to receive love
It’s action. For my husband is time, he loves to know he has all my time and attention. And as you said each
Person is different . So if we want to give love we need to do it in the way the receiver will appreciate more.
That’s real love to give not how it’s easy for us but in their own language. Keep up your message and positivity it’s contagious. Lv 2 u
