It’s no secret that being an entrepreneur requires resilience, the willingness to hustle, and a deep commitment to your vision. But what most people don’t tell you is how challenging it can be to run a heart-centered business, while also making money.
You see, I’ve received a ton of advice over the years on how to grow this business baby of mine. But being the highly sensitive person I am, I never resonated with aggressive tactics or quick growth strategies. I’ve always preferred to do what feels authentic to who I am. And that hasn’t always served me financially, but at the end of the day I feel better knowing I’ve honored my truth and the finances have always caught up with that.
I’ve seen so many entrepreneurs struggle. They hire the wrong people and wind up firing them. They invest in a program with big promises that doesn’t deliver. And they find themselves battling between what the heart is saying and having to pay the bills every month. It can be scary and frustrating when the thing we love to do just isn’t thriving…yet.
On my own journey, I’ve worked hard to find a way to create a brand that always stands in integrity, while always staying in alignment with my self-love journey. I’ve surrounded myself with people who lift me higher and broaden my capacity for helping others. Blair Badenhop specifically has helped me hone my voice and create consistency on my blog. And Nazira Sacasa has guided me immensely in growing my social media following. I’ve always dug deep to understand how I can better serve the world.
